2022 Year-End Fatalities Report

2022 End-of-Year Fatalities Report to Release January 11, 2023

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) is the nation’s leading organization that memorializes law enforcement heroes that die in the line of duty. Preliminary data compiled by NLEOMF will disclose the number and causes of death of America’s front-line law enforcement officers in 2022 on January 11, 2023.

When the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund’s 2022 Law Enforcement Officers Fatalities Report releases on January 11, 2023, it will reveal that while some categories of line-of-duty deaths are trending downward, firearms fatalities remain high, with numbers significantly higher than the average firearms fatalities of the previous decade.

Following the release of the report, NLEOMF will hold its first Law Enforcement Officers Firearms Survival Summit at the National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, DC. Attendance is free, and the full-day event will also be livestreamed.
